Print Out A Directory Listing Of Files And Folders In Windows Xp

Directory listing of files and folders can be useful when you want to know which files in your directories are where. It can also be used in many other ways for example giving the directory listing of your computer files over the web or sharing it with others.

The earlier hacks of batch files and dos commands for printing out directory listing wont works with Xp service pack 2 or later.

To solve the problem of printing a directory listing of directories, there is a small pieceof freeware software called JR Directory Printer, this Utility allows you to print a listing of every file contained within a directory and/or subdirectory(ies).

The results are displayed in a Notepad text editor as "dirprint.txt" file. This text file is created in "JR Directory Printer" installtion folder, each time you click "Start" button.

Here is example of text created using JR Directory Printer.

There's a bug in the program, which causes some files to be listed as only 1Kb in size.
