Photoshop CS3 Error With Samsung LCD Monitors

samsung lcd problem

I recently purchased the 17inch samsung lcd monitor Samsung 740N which displays quite clear and crisp images and the readability is also quite good but for some strange reason it gives me error in Photoshop cs3 saying that color profile not found and displays yellow color instead of white in color palettes  when i ignore this error and continue using Photoshop.

I got quite worried and luckily i found a solution for troubleshooting this error.

Here's the steps to troubleshoot this error in photoshop cs3:

1. Right click on the screen.

2.Hit Personalize>Display Settings>Advanced Settings> Color Management> Color Management.

3.In the dialogue box that comes up check "Use my settings for this device" at the top.

4.Then near the bottom click on 'ADD'.

5.  A list of various color profiles that you can use comes up and click on 'Adobe RGB' to associate it with your Samsung lcd monitor.

6.Then click OK and back in Color Management set the Adobe RGB as the default for the monitor

7.Then close all the dialogue boxes and restart the computer and everything will get fine and error messages in photoshop will went away and also colors will look great.

This is how i troubleshoot this error and hopes this also helps to all of those guys out there with samsung lcd monitors struggling to find solution for this error.

Oh and last thing don't call up samsung help center, pplz out there are lame idiots without any knowledge.

Thanks - after the unhelpful error message from Adobe and the useless Samsung website, this post is perfect. Well done you!
